What is this?

I've made a terrible mistake and introduced fish before it was ready into my main tank. I'm paying for it now with a full blown ich invasion... I moved my inverts and corals into another tank and am now hypoing the whole tank... damn..


I've had a ich outbreak 2 weeks ago which I'm treating with hypo and the only fish doing bad is the brown tang...Here is a picture below... I'm not sure if this is from the ich or if it's another disease.



So any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you just had ich in your tank why would you want to try and introduce more fish into a tank that still has ich present in the water????????????????????????????

I think youre mistaken sir. I introduced a new fish that had ich and this stuff now. Anyone know what it is? he has bloody sides as you can tell from the pic

With the way he's sliming up and the bloody "scrapes" I would guess Bacterial. Can you remove him to a aeperate QT?

You are the one mistaken. My intention was not to ID but what you fail to understand is... you're adding more fish to a tank that was already suffering from a disease. You just went through this 2 weeks ago..
So what you fail to realize is that any diseases do not vanish within that time and you should have been responsible enough to know not to introduce anything new.
It's like cutting yourself open... peeling the scab... then cutting yourself again hoping to change the circumstances and expect a different outcome.

I didn't add new fish since the outbreak... It was the new fish I added that brought the ich

I think its more then ich to me it looks like something Bacterial, look at the red / blood looking spot he has.

Instead of ripping the guy apart how about you try and help out the situation. He added the fish two weeks ago and got the ick attack after that he didn't add the fish to a tank that already had ich... The guy made a mistake help him learn from it or stay off the tread...

Melafix and Primafix save many of my fish when I first started the hobby and it never hurt my corals or inverts either.
