is it a bad idea to put chaeto in chamber number one in a JBJ nano tank

I had mine in the center chamber. You can peel away the black backing on the center chamber to expose the glass and hang a Fuge light back there. I had Chemipure, purigen and some filter floss in the first chamber. Tank ran awesome like that without a skimmer until my recent upgrade.
