I think nutri -water is cool, and is great if you have one of those 12g Nanos. However, for larger tanks nutri-water can get very expensive. Most LFS sell nutri-water for 13-16 a pop. I would need about 10 containers to do a water change. In my tanks, I love to use rodi water with my favorite Salt mixture. Can't beat that
I've actually got a ton of heat for posting a comment on how great this water worked on my tank about a year ago. I used it when I was too lazy to mix and it was great. Word of caution, it should be dilluted with ro/di water because the salinity is very high and will make your salinity spike. Also, it says that it is phospahate free but I never got around to testing the water myself, you might want to do that. All in all it workef great for.
I used to use it for water changes for my 11 gallon seahorse tank on my desk at work. No problems (seahorses are pretty hardy when it comes to water, though). Now I use water changed out of my home reef tank for the seahorses. Still no problems.
Bottom line, it's easy but expensive. I'm not sure how much the bacteria really help cycling, though.
i been using it for a 30 gallon for 3 weeks so far this is supposed to be some type of great seawater but when i was using poland spring it was better for my tankim going to use it for another 3 weeks and then see if it was worth it but so far poland spring is better for my tank than the nutri..(i know i am going to get a ro unit)
