contemplating a tunze6000 w/ sing cont

because of all the LR in my 40br and because i have sps i currently have:
seio820
seio620
maxijet1200
mag 9.5 as the reurn from the sump.

i believe all these pumps are heating up my water. am i wrong? i feel these are way more PH than i would like to have. so for that reason i'm contemplating getting a tunze 6000 w/ sing cont. therefore eliminating all the rest, well except the mag returm pump.

what do you guys think?

What is the tank temp? Do you also have a heater on the tank?

i took the heater out last night. this morning i saw the temp was @ 83 and that's w/ the MH off.

Get a 7.99 clip on fan - will drop your tank 5 degrees and cost you a hell of alot less -

Also, get the tunze and get all that equipment out of your tank

I would get it. You will be able to pull all those other PHs out and reduce the temp. Plus if you ever upgrade down the line you can use the 6000 on almost any size tank (or can upgrade it to the 6100 without a problem).

I had three MJ 1200s, a Mag 7 and an aquaclear PH. I swapped them out for a Tunze 6000 and my temperature went WAY down. A 6000 may be a bit much for a 40 breeder though.

this maybe a stupid question, but does the wattage of the 6100 go down if the speed of the pump is reduced? it is advertised as 45w, but if i want to run it at a lower output does the energy used also go down?
