I just started a bottle.

Fill bottle with tap water salted to 1.019
5ml miracle grow liquid (yellow bottle doesn't say it has copper in it)
dash of DT's. Why not use the good stuff to culture it.

2 liter bottle, rigid air tube and cheapo air pump.

16 hour light. 8 hour dark.

shake once a day to mix up what settled.

I'll let you guys know how it goes.

(I'm using melee's recipe)

heh i might need some soon too, Brett culture me a bottle! i just started chemi-clean so the nitrate and phosphate will be pretty high, phytoplankton might be a good stage for nitrate and phosphate consumption since they do eat that stuff right out of the water pretty quickly too, and i have mostly LPS corals, which consumes them.
