FOWLR 1 month no coraline algae

My tank has been setup for a month now and no purple coralline algae? My water parameters are ideal conditions I tested them 2 days in a row and they look good I am just curious. I think I will seed with a live rock.

+ 1 you need to be more patient.. Took me like 3 months to start growing coralline algae

did you seed with a piece of live rock that has coralline algae. i also have heard of people taking coralline out of a tank such as scrapping it off and then crushing the coralline algae up and throwing it in there tank.

Doesn't really matter how much coralline you throw in there... If your parameters are not stable it won't grow

Yeah maybe he could go that route.. but once again... just because you use it... does not mean that coraline will grow.
Besides all else... I'm sure that he would not be thinking about dosing a tank without knowing all of the parameters of his tank...
and god forbid testing the water.

I tested the levels they match the proper levels. I guess it will take time thanks.

I agree with what T-WOW mention about throwing a piece of live rock with coraline to the tank. But also you have to check if ALL your parameters are on point in order to have that piece of coraline on that rock to spread out in your system. What i did i wait for my system to be on point with my parameters then i threw in a small tiny piece of rock that had coraline on it and waited a couple of weeks for it to start spreading on to my other live rocks.
