Water change temp

Is it a problem if your tank temp loses three degrees during a water change? I know ultimately zero change is the best case scenario.

I wouldnt think so especially if its a small amount compared to your overall gallonage. By the time its added and mixes it may not drop the tank temp at all but most likely only a degree.

Have you watched your tank temp as you added in the new water thats slightly cooler to see if it drops from the amount you change out?

My tank temp is usually 78 when Ive completed the water change and pumps and system are on again tank could be at 75 and works its way up.
120g dt with 120 gallon total water volume

I change my water with 65 degree mix water when im in a hurry.

doesnt effect anything. it averaged out to 76 and i normally keep my tank at 78-82
