I keep two fresh water Mississippi Map turtles in a 90 gal kept about 70% full. I run a canister filter and do 25% water changes about once a week. These are mostly full time aquatics and very active. They climb onto a driftwood basker for a few hours a day under a ceramic heat emitter. I would quickly refer these kinds of turtles to anyone interested in "aquatic" fresh water turtels. Also not nearly as expensive as a reef tank.
