I'm trying to fill my syringe to the top and get an exact 1.0ml but i cant because there is air in it. Please help

That's fine. Just put the black in the syringe at the 1ml part and titrate from them.

Yup, the air is supposed to be there. Once the bottom of the black part is at the 1ml mark you're good to go.
