I really love the look of the longnose hawkfish - I've read online minimum tank size is 30g...

What would you think to a longnose in a 37g reef? Not enough room? Will probably have a firefish, and some clown gobies to share its tank with..
Just planning my future upgrade and looking into things..

THoughts?

nice- as long as it will eat frozen like cyclo, mysis, etc. then thats great.

It will be last added.

Just wanted to make sure that 37g wasn't too small - sometimes those tank size ratings you see online aren't really accurate!

No problem at all. Great fish. I'd probably add it last if the others you mentioned are to be tankmates... not really aggressive, but moreso than the others. They will eat shrimp though. Randy

and all other inverts including snails and crabs, they are particular to nassarius obsoleta and extract them with surgical precision - I have seen this and made this clostly mistake.

More likely the Mantis will eat it, pretty easy as it's a sitting target.:skull:

*sigh* i've learned that w/ my clown gobies... though the hawkfish is a little larger.

but the mantis will NOT be in my tank when I upgrade - I will do whatever it takes to get it out! :skull: :skull: :skull:
