Seriously. Reputable memeber/vendor or not. Do yourself a huge favor and dip all your purchased corals. You will be glad you did...
Dont spread the pests around!

On the side note. Can someone recommend a good dip for smooth-skinned acros? ive used Revive on Hawkins and an Echinata and lost them all.
Will Tropic Marin pro coral cure work?? im scared dipping these guys :grumpy:

Great post!

Buyers and Traders, please dip all of your coral when you get home! Yes it may take a little longer initially, but it'll save you a TON of headache down the road!

If anyone has questions about dipping and treating corals, PLEASE ask. There's a ton of knowledgeable reefers on this site.

If you know you've got bugs, please do the right thing and let the buyer know.

I religiously dip all my corals in coral RX for minimum of 10 minutes and STILL got REDBUGS, AEFW and weird snails i just threw away. Its NOT a full proof system to just dip you need to QT ALL corals even if you get them from a friend,store or reputable vendor. I know if i stay in the hobby i will set up a 10 gallon QT tank with a wrasse and dip my new corals everyday for a month before i deem them ready for my DT

Dip w melafix and have never had a problem w pests. See a bunch of dead stuff in the bowl afterward but nothing in my tank. One of the first and best advice Jerl gave me. Mixed 10ml to a small bowl a 3-5 minute dip is all it takes.

tropic marin pro coral cure is too harsh for those smooth skin acro. i find coralrx does a decent job on those....but it won't kill red bugs. the bayer will kill red bugs but will also kill those sensitive/smooth skin acro's also...:grumpy:..imho.

I agree but no wrasse, then u won't know if u actually have pests! I'd like to see them I'd I have
