I have two blue line pumps, a 40 and a 30. Both of these pumps are way too loud. Would like to know which pump is the quietest? The tank is a 140 gallon with dual overflows. Some feedback as to what kind of pump you are using will be appreciated. Plumbing is done and all check out no leaks.

it is possible that the fan is off balance, remove the 3 screws in the back and see if it might be touching something or has a lot of debri build up on it. please remove power cord when doing this. as of now i am still running a bluline 70 on my tank. i do have a hammerhead but, i would have to change out all my plumbing to get it running.

Humming

Ok,

So I put outdoor carpet and the pump is a bit quieter however the humming sound is a bit loud. Not sure if this is the lowest noise I can get this pump to go. I have another issuer where the pump is returning the water faster than the sump can feed. I have a Lifereef system that I may have to modify for this problem. I will keep you posted. Again Thank you for all the support.
