Britt, needs wiring help!

Hi all
I need a bit of help, I have a imported halide unit ,while the earth cable is self explanatory, the live and neutral are not. These two wires are coated in white and black sheathing. Could you guys please let me no which is which. Thanks to you all, Adam.

what is your voltage where you are??

That would probably be a 220v... can you please provide images so that we may properly assist you.

i'm sure its 220 also, i'm wondering if he needs to know how to wire the input or the output of the ballast. if its the output (going to the bulb) its easy. If its the input (coming from the house current) the ballast would have to be 220v.
