What is not to understand? The one in Hawaii is not the first one ever collected, just the first one on display at a public aquarium. Very,very few have ever been collected --- my guess is less than 10 maybe even fewer--- and those were sold for huge money in Japan and apparently Russia as well. How many are currently alive is anyone's guess.

he could not sell it, even if he wanted to...the fish is on PERMANENT LOAN (till death) from the Smithsonian!
