How do you keep the foam surround on? I put it on and within 2 days it is lying on the bottom of my tank. I thought of zip ties but I think that would rip through the foam - any suggestions? Thx.
they should stay on easily, i keep mine off because they collect junk like a filter sock. My covers slip on firm and the intake of water should keep them there...
note: I throw them on only when i add a new fish, for some strange reason i had two fish get sucked to the side of my mp40.
I never had a problem either- but I only used them when I first introduced my nem into the tank and the rocks were close enough to it that if he roamed all the way over he could have gotten his tentacles ginsued. Once he was settled in I took them off.
i kept mine on for a few days so my clown wouldnt get chopped up but did notice it was collecting alot of debris so off it came but it did stay on firmly had no problem with it coming off
his situation makes no sense to me, water intake alone will keep it on (creates suction and the guard itself gets sucked to the side). He found it on the bottom of the tank. Can these pumps run in reverse? If so, then i can understand it being blown off by the pump...
