It's the twin model. Does anyone have one or familiar with its operation? Who ever wrote the instructions clearly doesn't have English as a first language. The spell checks really weren't the problem, I just found them a little too vague. I read the French instructions as well and their french isn't any better than their english. Past that, they don't cover any other languages I understand. This will be used to dose the Randy 2 part and I don't want to overdose. anyone with set up experience, please PM.

I have one of these, it's a real PITA to get the hang of programming it. How often to you want it to dose?

The first step of the programming determines how often it actually turns on. I have mine dose 4x a day, so it's set for six hours, meaning it turns on every six hours (which looks like 06:00 on the screen). You can set it to turn on as often as you like. If you want it to go every 2 hours, then punch in 02:00. You can't set the actual time it turns on, it just starts counting from when you program it.

The next step determines how long it runs each time it turns on, in my case, a little over 1 minute (which looks like 00:01:00). A tip Chris gave me was to run it for a while to test how much it actually doses. They are supposed to dose 25 ml per minute, but mine does slightly less than that.

I hope that helps. If there's something specific you need in terms of programming it, I can try and help.

You can't set the actual time it turns on, it just starts counting from when you program it.
Press "ADJ" and "SET" together at the exact time you want the program to begin. If you want it every six hours and you press these 2 buttons at 6AM, it will now run at 6AM, 12 PM, 6PM and 12AM.
I had a hard time with it when I got it too, but once you understand the cycle, it's much easier.

I agree that they are kind of a PITA to setup. I also hate the fact that you have to activate it "at" the time you want it to go off. Mine doses two part around 6 a.m. each morning so if I want to make an adjustment in the dosing rate without changing the time I need to make the change at 6 a.m. give or take. It also isn't as precise as a Liter Meter for instance. One of the pumps on my twin doses a little more than the other so I needed to do trial and error on the settings so that they would dose the same. It's a good idea to use clear containers so you can see the levels in each. This way you'll be aware if it stops dosing evenly.

Even with all of those complaints though I still love it! LOL. I'm very lazy, and I love the fact that I don't have to manually dose two part any more after about ten years of doing so. :tired:

you know to be honest I never even figured out how much my pumps dose.
I started with a time that Dave recommended and fine tuned it over a period of a couple of weeks. It's kept the alk and CA where I want them since then. I've bumped it up in increments of 30 seconds at a time to keep up with the rise in demand.

Just to make 100% sure somebody please tell me if i've got this down.

I set the cycle time to be 0.6.0.0
(The pump will turn on every 6 hours thus 4 times per 24 hours.)

Since it is turning on every 4 times, I want it to dose a total of approx 130ml. 130/4 = 32.5 ml. (32.5ml x 4 times dosing).

So, leaving this on for 80 seconds, (1min 20 seconds),

The unit doses at 1500ml/hr, 25ml/min, .41ml/sec.

80x.41 = 32.8 (close enough)

Dosing 4x with 32.8ml = 131.2ml per day

Also since i'd like to leave the 3rd pump not doing anything for the time being i'd leave it at 0.0.0.0

Did i set everything correct as to cycle and time? please let me know.
Thanks, just double checking.
Aaron.

very weird...
2 Dosing pumps, i got new silicone tubing. I allowed the water to fully go through the silicone tubing and then restarted the dosing.

1st pump = 38 ml / 1min20
2nd pump = 45 ml/ 1min 20
:scratchch....
