Elos vs Red Sea Max tests

Anyone have an opinion one way or the other about these two test kits? I ran out of my Elos MG test kit, and I was right near aquarium village on LI so stopped in to pick one up. The employee told me the red sea max is more accurate and that more people are buying them. Is that because they are more accurate or is it because that is all they sell now on that nifty Red Sea Max display shelf :scratch:?

So far I like the ease of the Elos better. To me it seems the RSM just looks like a better test kit, but thats it.

another aspect of my question is, are LFS's getting kickbacks or incentives for ONLY carrying certain brands? I found it interesting that the store only carried API and Red Sea Max. Most of the higher end LFS's I've been to always carry at least two higher end brands.

I use Red Sea Pro salt and when I mix up a fresh Bach of salt and test with Red Sea test kits they are dead balls on with what is on the side of the Red Sea salt bucket.

End of story for me.
