Neon Green algae Cyano\or some thing else?

Can cyano be mistaken with something else. I have a neon\green algae like bacteria\layer that has covered my tank with in few days.
Possible causes:
1. Death of a feather duster (cuased by me not water chem.)
2.Bought an acanthastrea f.?. from a lfs that i think is not shwing itself or dead?!!
3. Started dosing b-ionic (only the cal. part) my alkalinity is at 10 $%^.

All parameters are at check and everything is kosher.

Puzzled to continue, just did a wc. 7%

You could have maiden hairs it kinda like a hairy algea that may be bright ,can you can a pic of the algea and post

There are some algea that are not bad you know ,Not all algea are bad ,but may be annoying if the get out of hand

I only try to give advice on situations I have experienced.
In the top portion of the 2nd link I supplied, it will help ID certain types of algae/bacteria & how to control it.

That just looks like regular a$$ algae. Most will have it. You say that your parameters are in check. What are the levels of your phosphates? Use a Merck quality test kit as they are more sensitive. 0 Phosphates is impossible btw.

What kind of nutrient export system do you have? (skimmer, waterchange etc)

Nutrients have to be exported somehow. Some pieces of equipment are garbage and dont do to well in this department. Also any algae that is on the rocks need to get "eaten". You need a larger clean up crew. (snails, hermits, herbivorous fish)

Its ok peretz...i had something like that. It was becuase I had the lights on to long...plus they were PC lights. It was all over my rocks but no where else. They go away in time as my tank matured, coralline starting to kick in, and when I cut down my hours.
