Ok so I hate seeing plugs in a reef tank I think it look so un- natural.
On the other hand I tend to move things around at times and don't want to permanently glue them to my rock work.
Is there a kind of soft putty that will hold a frag in place but not be to difficult to move if desired ?

How do you do yours?

Don't forget that in short time SPS corals encrust the plugs/rubble, and then the lr it self.;) Prior to encrusting the lr it is easy to move them when using glues like IC gel, or Super Glue, but once it has encrusted on to the lr; good luck moving it.hehehe

I hate that look of plugs, very unnatural IMO, so if the frag is not encrusted on the plug I remove it or if it is I use a dremel to cut off the stand on the plug so when glued/epoxied down to the LR it sits flush....not like they're on little pedestals...

I just attached a bunch of corals to live rock today using epoxy. It's a PITA though.

I dislike fragplugs as well. However, what do you do with zoos or similar corals that don't have a hard skeleton? I'd love to get rid of some of my frag plugs.

whenever i get a frag of sps on a plug i cut it off just above the glue line. then i glue the fresh cut to rock work in the tank. obviously shut off the flow while your doing this...all you need is one of your fish eating any excess glue lol. this helps also if the one frag you glued in your dt dies or is unhappy you have the extra piece to grow as a back up.
