hey guys if anyone has a few minutes to help me out and can connect remotely and help me setup my neptune apex so i can view it outside of my network would be greatly appreciated.

i can view it on my network but i cannot access it online without my network.

im using a netgear wireless adapter and am hooked up through fios and can not figure it out at all.

i tried viewing the video about setting it up on fios on reefcentral but i have the newer firmware on my router and things are different.

if possible tonite would be great im sitting on the couch and not doing much.

thanks in advance

You need to set up port forwarding on the router for verizon.

I would set a static IP for the Apex unit and then a port that you want to use something with a high number.

Goto portforward.com and find your router and it will talk you through forwarding your port.

I just switched from time Warner cable to Fios which I regret but I was able to port forward on Twc and now it just won't work on Fios and Fios tech support doesn't guide you with port forwarding ......ps time Warner cable signature home was the sh!t compared to Fios...it's like comparing a Mac to pc ....Mac being Fios ;)

I just setup my apex last week. You may also have to check what ports FIOS may have blocked. I have cable vision and they blocked port 80, which is the default port for the Apex.

I ended up doing a port forward from 8888 to 80

You don't want to do that... You should change the port in the APEX to 8888 and then just forward directly.

You should leave port 80 to the WWW stuff, less can go wrong then.
