So I've done my research and it seems like no matter what treat you choose, this stuff if going to make it's way back. It started off as a little patch, then grew some more and now it's starting to pop up in a ton of places and growing TALL, 2-3inches tall. I'm going to start manually removing today, but what would be my best bet for helping me control it.

I'd rather not raise my MG to high levels, rather not risk the stress on the tank. I read about FW mollies being used to control it, any thoughts?

I definitely want to get to the source of the problem, it's on one rock for the time being. Assuming this specific rock is leeching something into the water. This rock is a base piece and I can't/will not break down the rock work to take it out, so in tank treatment is the only option. I'm going to try removing manually and upping my husbandry to see if I can get ahead of it.

Have to pick up some wooden skewers later, found it works best for removing algae down to the rock. Stick it it the middle of the patch and then spin in
one direction. Pulls out a ton and none gets into the tank.

I actually saw that thread, but pulling things out to treat is out of the question sadly. I know that would be the best route, but I'll be battling in tank. I'll manually remove and lower feeding, etc and see where I am in a few weeks. If I have to, I'll try the MG at elevated levels.

I used tech m to rid of my bryopsis. Raised mag to over 1600 for 2 weeks got rid of all of it.
All corals were fine inverts too. Key is to raise slow and hold it there. This way no stress.
+1 raise slowly maintain for a couple of weeks it worked for me and it never came back. if one little string gets lose in that tank while ur ripping it out it will attatch itself to a rock and u gonna go thru this whole exercise again.
