UV Sterilizer

Have a 140 gallon tank with a 18 watt uv sterilizer. Wanted to know what others are using on a tank this size. Is 18 watt strong enough? I am currently only fish but would like to venture into corals. Your feed back would be appreciated.

The instructions to my 18W 6X Coralife Turbotwist sterilizer say that it is rated to up to 250 gallons, I think your fine!

I think it is undersized for that size tank. However, are you looking to use it as a water clarifier or parasite control ? In addition, learn how to use them correctly and efficiently. I have noticed with most equipment, always go with the one that is double the rated volume of your tank. Just seems not to over work the piece equipment.
