Hi guys, so I have a nano tank in my room now aside from my 210 and I hate turning the lights on an off every morning and night. The worst is in at night because sometimes I get home late and that's when the lights will then go off. But I was wondering, would it be possible to use one or two of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...sPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_1821wt_1037 so I can use an EB4 on my nano but using the same Apex unit. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks Fortunato

I don't think that cord will work. Because of that block in the middle. On RC they say it has to be the cord with out the USB repeater built in. There are places you can order custom cords in custom lengths. If I'll fin link later I will post

From the Guide

The AquaBus can be a total of 200? in length giving you ample opportunities to locate the modules in convenient
locations. Most of the bus and power cables are 6? but you can source longer USB cables on the Internet. You
have to make sure there are no powered repeaters on long cables as this will damage the base unit.

What they said above, you need a USB cord without that repeater, which is usually a cylinder looking thing near the end of 1 side of the wire.
If the only purpose is to turn on/off the lights, why not just get a regular old fashioned timer?

Ehh a timer isn't as nice and convenient as the Energy Bars plus I need it for 3 outlets so I don't really want 3 timers.

And if the cable were to be longer than 200" would the signal not work? I think I need more than that to reach the second floor from the basement because I need to go across the floor as well
