Phosban or CPE or both?

I have a solana with an inTank media basket. I used to run, in this order,
filterfloss
Purigen
Phosban
CPE
This was working very well for me. Recently however I took the CPE out to make room for a big ball of chaeto and a few small pieces of live rock. I added a jbj nano-glo and things seem fine. My question is, I still have the filter floss, purigen and phosban in the mix, but not the CPE, should I remove something to keep the CPE in the mix or just let it be? I do notice that I do get some algae on the glass that needs to be cleaned about every two days. I know some is normal, but is that too much? My lights are running for about 5-6 hrs daily and I feed once a day.

Chemi-pure Elite is simply Chemi-pure with some GFO ( Phosban) mixed in. So if you are running Phosban there is no need for the " elite". If it all works for you great, but I think you could achieve the same results for considerably less by simply running carbon and phosban.

You need a reactor to run carbon though right?

why would you need it? Just simply put carbon into a fine mesh bag and let water pass over/through it.

Carbon rox from bulk reef supply is good. I wouldnt go with kent. If you google it theyve had some problems with wiping out tanks.
