Help!! MH hanging kit. No clue! Light is way too close to tank!

I have nooooo clue how to install This! Please help me! Ive had the light and the kid for a year now and have the light sitting on top of the tank and 250w w. t5 is overkill for the 30g tank especially if its sitting on it with the mounting legs. I dont know how the things go into the ceiling. Anyone have any experience with this kit?

you have to adjust the metal strings where the light is hanging on....

Thats not the problem. Thanks though. The problem is what do you put in the ceiling and how does it stay there. Do i need to buy something else since it doesnt look like if i put any of those things in my ceiling it will be safe, secure or possible.

Nope, i wish it did, i was rather shocked when i saw that no instructions came with it and have just had it sitting there for the longest. Thank you, ill watch the vid now.

So that vid has pieces in it that i dont have. I have only whats shown in the link up top. I am still confused as to what to do with my kit that came with no instructions. It came from Odyssea which is why there was no instructions, its a beautiful light and i like it very much but i hate it being so close to my tank =/
