i just got a royal gramma today , i have now 1 clown 1 royal gramma 2 yellow damsel and 1 devil damsel. my question is if i buy more live rock like about 25 pds more is it true that i will go through the cycle all over again . i have a 55 gallon and about 25 pds of live rock. my friend said i can stay like that or i can add live rock that weighs 5pds or more a week . what u guys think.

More live rock can be added if it is fully cured with no problems. Most store bought rock will have some die off, even the rock advertised as cured rock. Look for someone breaking down their established reef and buy your 25lbs of rock from there. You can add it all at once.

Just buy fully cured rock. Then you will be okay. Whatever you do, do not buy it out of a box. Fishtown and other LFS have tanks with rocks that you can add immediately to your tank.
