Well, I'm trying to catch them and they're kicking my a**. :anger2: I managed to get 1 Chromis, but the other 2, and the Sixline, are just laughing at me. I left the nets in the tank with some pellets inside and my Purple Pseudo swam into both nets, got the food, and swam right out. :bigeyes2: Crazy fish! All this calamity in my tank (my Clowns and Hippo Tang are freaking out especially hard) makes me wonder if it's even worth it! I'm getting a Lion and a Puffer...and if some of these little guys refuse to cooperate I'm feeling evil and just gonna let them get eaten! :skull:

Dimitry,

You'll probally be able to catch the other 2 chromis, but the 6 line is another story. You will probally have to tear down you tank in order to catch him...

I think I might give these traps a go! I'll leave the net in there just in case they get as bold as the Purple Pseudo. But will order the trap. But which one?!

Do you know where your 6 line and chromis sleep at night? You can try turning on the lights when they are sleeping. They should be stunned for a few minutes and then you can net them. Give that a chance thats how I caught my kole tang today :)

I've no idea where the Sixline sleeps. I've seen some of the Chromises occasionally by the power-heads. I'll try to look tonight if I can see them. If I turn on the tank lights in the middle of the night...will that just freak everybody out, though?

drain the tank to few inches of water in a rubber maid garbage can with a pump. have your way with the fish. pump the water back. no harm to corals or fish. can be done in under 10 minutes. unless u have like a 180 gals or more.

It's a 72g. And I don't have a rubbermaid big enough. And I have a lot of rocks; they'll still hide in there! I think it's either the trap, or the tank will become a death-trap for the fish!

I found that the trap actually worked when in needed to get rid of a few fish. it took me awhile, but ultimately the human figured out a way to outsmart the fish! (ok, it took me a long time!).

I borrowed gforce's trap, he might still have it

Is the trap like the one on Drs. F&S site? I ordered one from there; mostly because the other one is out of stock!

Now, I got 1 Chromis isolated in a breeder net in the main tank. He's getting good water circulation, but not a lot of room to swim. How long can I keep him in there?? A week? More?

I'm glad to hear one of those traps worked! It gives me hope.

buy a fish trap. I made one out of plexi glass. I bait it wait around and presto they eventually swim in. The most i ever waited was a half an hour. Less stress for all fish

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. My Hippo Tang was really freaking out as I tried to catch the Chromis and that's not good! I did manage to get a second Chromis as she slept at night, so now I got 2 isolated in a breeder net. Hopefully the trap will arrive in a couple of days.
