LR in RO/DI

i've had some used to be LR in RO/DI water for maybe two weeks. can i place this on my fire escape to dry out and then use it on my next set up?

if left to dry do i need to worry about amonnia,nitrites and nitrates?

yes jon. you need to cycle it again. cook the rocks.

i just thought it would further kill anything in the LR or speed up the process

Nah, if you're going to use it soon, just put it in a bucket and cook it now.

hey scarf, you do realize a skimmer doesn't really work in just ro/di water...you got to add salt to skim:splitspin

it skims, not as much but it skims. when i do water changes in my tanks i siphon the old sw into the LR holding tank.
