Saltwater left sitting

Hi MR,

I had made some saltwater and did too much. The remaining water made was left in a container with lid.

I want to know if the extra saltwater made could be left sitting and used later on. (has been sitting for two weeks)

I dont see y not, when they sell the sea water it just sits in a container also.. Just make sure u put a pump for a few hours to mix it and check the sal . before use

I agree it should be fine. If you are worried just test the ammonia, 'trites, and 'trates for peace of mind.

it'll be fine....just circulate/aerate and test salinity as kenconnect suggested above.

i have 80 gal. of mixed saltwater ready at all time in 2x brute containers with power heads, heaters, thermometers, and aerating tubes in them. i test and adjust salinity as needed (due to evaporation....lids are not sealed).
