i want to add more lighting to my 75 gallon tank. my corals are nice and healthy but growth is deff slow compared to some of my other friends tanks. i am running a tek elite 6 bulb system, and i want to add some more lighting to the tank to make it more intense. are there LED strips powerful enough that i can buy to achieve this? or possibly another route? i am looking for any possible way thanks guys.

What growth are you looking for?
SPS LPS or soft coral?

With that light on my 75 tank everything exploded.
This could be a symptom of something else before it is a lighting issue.
What kind of equipment are you running on the tank?

idk imbarrie, everything else on the tank is as perfect as perfect can get, levels have been consistent alk 8.7 cal 450 sal 1025 and those paramas have not changed one bit in 5 months. so as far as water quality goes i know thats not the problem, flow is good i have 4 pumps and 2 of them alternate through my controller. so the only thing i can think of is two things my water is to clean or i need more light. my friends tank had halides on it and i was at his house 5 months ago and i got a piece of setosa from his tank. in my tank it has not grown one bit in his tank its almost a colony. and all my sps seems to grow slow i have had pieces over 5 months and i see encrusting but not one new branch.

Those are good numbers but there are many others that will affect growth like pH, phosphates or magnesium.

My water parameters were great but I had problems with low pH. Once I bumped that up I noticed much more growth. I think you have plenty of light, I am leaning to something else and your water is the next logical place.

Are you dosing?
Are you running a good GFO in a reactor?

my PH is steady 8.2 every time i check, i dose 20 ml of alk and 20 ml of cal every morning , i run BRS GFO in the BRS reactor. last time i got phosphates checked they were 0 on someones Hannah meter. i have no algae growing at all on the rocks so i don't think thats it. and mag is 1350 i use red sea coral pro salt so that usually keeps the mag good with 15 gallon weekly water changes.
