hey all thanks for reading this. I am confused on this link. man made cultured?? is this from the ocean or what?

yeah it was fun. I was in the tub for about 45 minutes soaking the knee LOL. Dave showed great skill in figuring it all out. you move fast for a fellow knee guy. Nice to meet you finally one day my wife and i want you and your family over for some drinks and dinner. she said you were really nice to give your time and knowledge the way you did. thanks for that. I cant believe man made rock.!! Damn that blows. LOL

they mine the rock though from a quarry - i forget the kind, but its pretty porous (but still more dense than real fiji...).

I have a box of cultured rocks and they do contains a lot of live in the rock. It's very porus and I am sure after completing the curing, the bacteria filtration capacity of the rock will be very high.

The only problem I run into with them is that the shape is almost the same within the box.

If you wish to check out some samples just for curiosity, I am more than willing to show you. I am curious as to what other reefers feel about the rock in person too.
