Missin' Peppermint Shrimp

I have a problem..i can't find my pepermint shrimps. i have 6 in a 125gal tank with 200lbs of LR. I think they were eaten by my watchman goby!! Could this be ture?

I've never heard of a Watchman goby eating ornamental shrimp, much less 6. How long did you have the shrimps?

i have two in my 16 gallon that were hitchhikers on my LR and I never even knew they were in my tank until a couple of months ago! I only saw the 2nd a couple of weeks ago! Mine at least like to hide - and if I have trouble seeing them in a 16g I am sure you would have problems in a 125!

i'm sure they are in there :bunnies:. i have one in my 40br that i'm trying to get out. i didn't see him for almost a month. he reappeared this weekend, and bigger.

Wait until the lights are off for a while and then take a flash light and look around the tank. You'll probably spot them as they start to come out.

yea, also if you throw some food in like brine shrimp or something they might come out.. also keep a look out for a pistol shrimp or a mantis shrimp that might have been on a rock... they could be trouble. When my tank was setup the first time he didnt come out for like 2 months... maybe urs is just happy where he is.

My peppermint will come outwhen lights off, or when there is food available. Try feeding the tank after lights out?

They are nocturnal best bet is to go flashlight hunting when lights go out.
