Hi, its Marco. I have a 200g LPS dominated tank which I will tear down to make a bigger 280g SPS tank. In my current tank(200g) the po4 and no3 are about 10ppm. I wanted to know if I should use that same rocks in my new tank or bleach it before using? Im obviously worried about the past history of the rocks being exposed to high phosphate levels. Thanks in advance

Welcome to MR! There's a product called Lanthium chloride that strips phosphates from rock. They sell it at pool stores here in the states. The biggest problem I see with treating the rock would be you have to start all over, meaning you will have to cycle the new tank and wait for it to mature. Good luck with your new setup

I personally wouldn't use bleach just for the fact that bleach could kill everything in a tank. I would go the lanthium route and start all over. 10 ppm readings on phos is pretty damn high. Either get new rock or strip your rock with the lanthium
