i am having low PH problems. It has been slowly dropping over 6 months or so. Started at a nice 8.3 and over time it goes down, as low as 7.7 now.
Nothing is rotting in my tank and everything looks good.
When I add Randy DIY 2 part ALk, it raises PH, but I cant go higher than 11 ALk i might get precip.

pH=7.9-7.7
sal=.0255
Temp=80-82
Cal=420 ppm
Alk=11+

That article dont do squat 4 me.
*Nothing rotting & tank cycled a long time ago
*enough aeration with bubbles in tank
*High Alk already 11

What can it be? Low PH bothering me more than corals since they look good still.

*I have not replaced my RO/DI filters in like 2 yrs, but my other budds uses tap water & he is fine
*I have not cleaned or calibrated my PH probe in like 6 months

Do you think this may be why?

i just monitored my RO/DI topoff water & it's PH=7.4
Even lower than my tank water. Will this cause drop in tank water PH?

Now I am gonna mix RO/DI with salt & see what level the PH is at.

I just did a test of the following. New salt mix was from Tropic Marin. Just by looking at the numbers it must be that my probe or calib is off, right? I hear Tropic Marin comes in at 8.0-8.3 & not as low as I get.

RO/DI 7.48
RO/DI & TM new salt 7.72
Main Tank Test 7.92
Sump Test 7.92
Tap Water 7.26
