What are you guys using for actinics on 36" tank?

I'm trying to plan out the lights on my 58. I'll have 2 150w DE's and I'm looking into actinics. I'd like to go with t5 for the small profile. But I've only seen 30" bulbs in coralife. I was hoping for URI's which only come in 24" or 48" (as far as I've seen)

My other option is to gut the PC fixture I have and use pc's. But all I'd really be doing is getting the ballast out. I'd have to change out the endcaps to waterproof ones, and I'd need to get 2 new lamps. So if it comes down to it, I could, but I'd rather just sell the fixture and put that money into the new setup.

So, what do you guys suggest? what do you have on your tanks?

So are the bulbs 36" from pin to pin? (can I fit them in a 36" hood or do I need another inch for endcaps?)

I guess I just need to pick one up and measure it.

Yeah, I really like my 20 gal with the 14k. But I really want dusk/dawn effect on the new tank. I may just leave room to add them later, and see how I like the tank with just 2- 150 DE 14k.

BC, dusk dawn effect has had no visible impact on my tank - because I get ambient light from windows, the fish et al are already awake when the lights go on.
