Montaquelaveist:

I caught 3 sallies in my 120 reef because they turned into killers. I even made quite a few posts here about them and how i got each one. Every month, yes month, if you get lucky you will notice them doing a dance on your glass in the front or sides of tank. At this time these crabs are confused and basically are vulnerable. Once you notice this dance you can just easily NET them with no problems. I caught all 3 this way. Its a gift from mother nature to idiots like us. They WILL do this dance on the glass only, meaning they are off the rock. Which sallies never are. Patience and constant observation will get him out. I even traded my sallies here on MR. GL...

the dance is the crab constantly trying to climb the glass. Each time i saw mine do this i was easily able to just net them and into the sump they went. Mine NEVER left the rock work so it was easy for me to notice them when they were trying to climb the glass. I got this info from another forum and i was SHOCKED that it worked perfectly. These crabs were witnessed cutting clam mantles and attacking my goby and attacking EACHOTHER. Mine were big thou...i tried every other trick, trap with zero chance of catching them. My tank has changed so much without them...
