Yeah but the vega comes 2 ways vega color and vega blue without all the nonsense colors .the vega blue is simaliar to the sol blue but they added another bulb I think its a deep blue to give the light a deeper looking blue

The Vega looks like it's running a single XML 10w Cree white and four 3w blues vs the SOL with three 3w LEDs total, so the color actually might look better.
For $100 more, the Vega looks more advanced and is wireless which is a $50 add on module to the SOL units.

The Vegas don't have any more "nonsense" colors than the Radion. The do have three different blue shades (one has a violet mixed in).

I have a Nano fixture and they have the same layout (different color LEDs) as the Vegas.. I really like the more powerful white LED surrounded by 2 blue and 2 royal blue LEDs personally. I'm leaning toward the Vega color for my new tank.

Fwiw, the original article on reefbuilders shows out o date specs. I don't think the colors are the same and I'm 100% sure they individual quantities of LEDs has changed.

I too am wondering about the color spread since it is not a point source. Since if the red and green are let's say, in the middle and cannot reach the side of the tanks, it kind of loses its interest. It's one thing to have a spectrum that matches the one of a Radium 20000K ran by magnetic ballast right at the center of the tank, but it is another to have that everywhere. Hopefully the 80 degrees optics help with that, but doesn't that mean less penetration? And for those of us who like their clams on the sandbed... that might not work out well.

BTW the official specs are always available here:
