Might be possible for someone else, but not for me
Frozen food needs to remain frozen until you're ready to use it right away. As a matter of fact, in order to maintain the nutritional value of the pre-frozen critter, these foods are 'flash frozen' to safely lock in the nutrients while also locking out any bacteria or parasites.
When I defrost a cube of frozen food I keep the leftover for the next day in the fridge. Fish are fat and healthy. I do use a plastic pee cup to keep it closed (bought a bunch for frags)
hmmmm not sure what to do. I am starting to use flats of food since they are cheaper, but sometimes too big a piece breaks off and then a pain to try to break that again. Don't want to overfeed nor throw it away..
Flat packs are great. Just dedicate a razor blade for the sole purpose of scoring the flat pack and breaking on the score line. You should be able to get it very close to the size you're looking for. No waste.
