A lot of drags I got from the swap have aptasia not happy

I had an aiptasia show up on a clam last week (a DR MAC clam from swap). No other aiptasia in tank.

I would try a peppermint shrimp first... then maybe nudi....

Been batteling it on the same pieces keep taking them out glueing over them and another one pops up on other side of frags thought I had it seen new one today chucked to frags in the garbage I'm not gonna get it all over the tank

+1 on that mine kept nipping at my birds nest and my acro's wont get another one ever again and my neon dotty back wont let me get any shrimp he kills them instantly might have to try Those nudi

i tried all those fish and shrimp remedy they are all are a hit or miss and my luck i miss with all them i got 6 nudi coming tomm tho ohh wee now i have to start keeping a close eye on who and were i get corals from these aptasia are pita dont want them ever again by far the worse pess u can get

i bought 10 nudis for my 120 gal. They worked for a week or two killing aiptasia, no doubt. BUT, they disappeared already and my aiptasia is getting bad again. If your tank is large NUDIS are a waste of money unless your willing to buy like 30+. Not sure if they died, were eaten, or whatever...kind of feel i wasted my money. I might try a HIGH POWERED laser next. Saw a guy on you tube literally burn/melt them away with a laser you can purchase online. It cost about 200$ for the laser but it works and last forever...

It cost about 200$ for the laser but it works and last forever...

If it's anything like the Majano Wand...it only 'works' if you can kill/destroy every, single cell of the aiptasia...otherwise... it comes right back!

with my luck i would probably harm something innocent instead of the aiptasia with a laser. Must likely going to try a DD file fish in the near future...

After watching a healthy frogspawn getting annihilated by a peppermint shrimp (who did absolutely nothing with my aiptasia), I don't recommend them at all anymore.

if you have a stable,mature tank more then a year old and is over 90 gallons i would look for a copperband b-fly fish from a reliable LFS and watch it eat. I was infested and it destroyed my problem but i still have a ton in my overflow that i cant get to havent seen one in the tank for 9 months

IF you can get to them, and have access to a syringe you can try what I did. I filled the syringe with household white vinegar, inserted the needle directly in to the aiptasia's mouth. No more aiptasia.
