im looking into converting my 55 aga tank to reef ready.. i want 2 overflow boxes going down to a 29 gal sump and refugium... i need help on:
drilling the holes...( looking for someone to show me and give me a price)
what size holes to drill for the overflow...
what gph pump should i use...
i would like for the fill for the tank to be a spray bar ( i dont kno if that lowers the rate of a pump..)

In a 55 one overflow will suffice. You dont want to clutter your tank with overflows. As far as drilling Deepwater and Slamajama will help you out for a fee and beers. Deepwater just completed drilling his tank and it works quite well.

On AGA tanks, you can not drill the bottom as it is tempered glass.

Shoot the above guys a PM.

here's some info on aga
Can I drill holes in my aquarium for external filters?

Maybe, many of our aquariums are made with tempered glass in the bottom. Tempered glass cannot be drilled. Non-tempered glass panels may be drilled by a qualified technician. In some cases, you may special order All-Glass aquariums pre-drilled with the MegaFlow or Twin-Flow overflow systems. You could also special order, in some cases, an aquarium with non-tempered glass if you wanted to have it drilled outside of our facility. If you have an older tank that you want to drill, don?t take any chances - if you are not sure that the glass is non-tempered, do not drill it.

One hole for an inch and a half bulkhead should be sufficient for drainage. You don't have to drill into the bottom. Rather than putting a spray bar, consider putting a manifold for a return like Anthony Calfo reccommends. If you use a high enough gph pump, it will take care of your circulation needs without additional power heads/ tunzes.
