I am helping a buddy get a DB 60 CUBE set up 24x24x24.

Tank and stand are set. Pump not an issue.

Need lights though. What can you recommend for LED. No sps. Prob just softies , polyps, Lps.

Would like dimmable with different controls for each channel. But nothing crazy expensive.

Go t'5's instead. I did MH, LED and t-5's, the best color i got was from t-5's/MH.
I am setting up a 60 cube soon, that will be sps and zoa....all t-5 lighting

Par38s aren't a good choice for a 24x24x24 tank. You would need atleast 4 bulbs. You wouldn't have independent controlibility unless you spent a fortune for the newer style controllable bulbs which run 130+ and still pretty knew.

Im on the edge about LEDs as well. I have great growth and nice color. I have been running them 3+ years and Whenever I see t5s I am jealous.

I would shoot for a t5 led combo. Maybe a 24" t5 and reefbrite combo for the shimmer.

Yes, I feel that should be more than enough for a 60g cube. Don't forget to get the "W" if you decide on it.. otherwise you will be spotlighting.
Check out my frag tank thread with the Kessil a150w. Keep in mind my frag tank is only 12"h so I had no need for a 350w but you will get the idea of light spread.

Riiiiiiight....it's for a friend. It's okay dude, you can tell everyone that you're starting another build, no one will hold it against you. Everyone knows that you're going to need more room for more stuff. You don't have to say it's for "a buddy".

A buddy... that's a good one! lol
