The drain bulk head running from dt to sump, should i use the grey corrugated tubing or try my luck at home depot and try to dry fit the bulkhead in the store to plastic tubing?
I always enjoy using the ribbed... for her pleasure.
Use the rigid PVC, then attach the ribbed tubing that way you have flexibility on the plumbing in your sump for relocating the plumbing in case you are using filter socks in a holder. It sucks when you have regular hard pvc and then try to get the filter socks out of holders.
I like how it has the ends that can clamp onto pvc. I found this at lowes:
I have to bend from a center external overflow to the left side of my sump and have 2 drains on each of two tanks which are one above the other. So if I could bend them out of the way of each other and around that would make it easier then a bunch of pvc 45s.
I figure that I can cut it in half as each end as a connection on it. Since I am coming from 1" pvc I can't use the supplied fittings but bought two 1 1/2 x 1/14 barbed reducing couplings. The 1" PVC slides into the 1 1/2 side and the other into the hose.
It was def. Cheaper at home depot. My lfs doesn't have anymore grey under 6' , so i might wait or do hd thing. The problem is i can ever find the barbed fittings at the hd I go to and god forbid you ask an employee for help: like asking the wife for a piece!
