Hi guys I have been stalking this site for a month now and have learned alot.
I would like to thank all of you so much for all the information. My tank has just finished its cycle and i have ordered a clean up crew and some copepods. i do have a question. In my refuguim i have 10 lbs of live rock. would it be ok to add a deep crush coral bed to the refuguim. I have a DSB in the display tank sugar sand 5 to 6"

Welcome. This is a great community of people, and I think you'll like it here. I sure do.

As for your question... I wouldn't add crushed coral to your 'fuge. If you want a DSB (I strongly recommend NOT having a DSB) then you'll need very fine sand.

+1

If anything, take your LR and break the pieces into smaller, rubble size pieces. Pinball, or golfball size is ideal. It'll give more surface area for pods to colonize.
