I have read a couple of forums in MR about microbubbles problem. I have a Deltec AP600 and their site says that this is normal for the first couple of days. It's been about 1.5 weeks and it still is producing a lot of bubbles. I just added a thick foam pad yesterday and a filter sock with no help. I can't put baffles into the sump because there isn't enough room for it. The skimmer is skimming great otherwise, but the return pump is still pumping back lots of microbubbles (continuously).

Old forums say something about hurting the fish because microbubbles get into their gills. The fish and corals seem to be doing well. Aesthetically, it's annoying. What are your suggestions? Will this ruin my tank?

check to make sure all thetubing is tight and no air is getting in (or the tubiing doesnt have any holes). Also i find that some chemicals added to the tank make skimmers go nuts, have u added anything recently?

1. how is your overflow into ur sump.. (could be introducing alot of microbubbles) maybe add a micron sock to that to prevent bubbles there.. (keep it clean)
2. is all ur pvc primered and glued together on the return...
3. i would give the skimmer more time to adjust u could keep the micron bag on the skimmer output but keep it clean..

also believe it or not the baffles will help you alot on ur microbubble problem... it reduced my microbubbles tremendously... just some of my thoughts that could be a problem...
