Being sick from handling rock in your tank

Last night I was moving all the live rock out of my tank. I got stung by a couple bristleworms which wasnt a big deal. But today i broke out a little on the arm that got stung, also I am really fatigued. Anyone ever get beatup by your tank. At this point I am delusional.

I got stung by a bristle worm too. Did you run your hand under hot water? Shouldn't do much of anything, probably just in ur mind unless you have an allergic reaction. But I'm just guessing.

Yeah, next time try some benadryl or something like it. Been hit by zoo'a anemone's and even my frogspawn. hurts but benadryl worked for me.

I am going to try some benedryl when I get home. I am just paranoid because on either reefcentral or aquarium advice way back they had a thread about a guy that had to have part of his hand amputated because of a parasite or something that got inside his skin from handling rock.

i think you are supposed to put tape over the area that got stung after it happens, to get any bristles that are left in your skin...

That too...Duct tape...

I was told use a card like with a bee sting but duct tape makes better sense cause the bristles are soft.

I pulled out most of the cirra with needle nose pliers. I just feel super tired right now.
