My reef tank from many ago was brought back to life as a lh freshwater tank. I did use pimafix to cure ick about 20+ water changes ago. I am tempted to revive the 125. But i am not sure if i ruined the capabilities of having a reef tank because the pimafix.

Can i use this tank as a reef once again one day?

Is there a way to remove the damage pimafix can do to a reef?

I see no reason not to be able to use the tank for a reef going forward. Like any other tank, I would be sure to rinse it well before use. I cannot imagine that even in 20 uses of the medication in a 125G that you actually added THAT much product to the tank.
btw..Pimafix doesn't cure ich..it's an anti-bacterial/anti-fungal treament :(

Cool thanks. I never thought i would be back in the hobby and my freshwater fish had a bacterial infection so i dosed it. Tomorrow i am getting the jbj 28 gallon quad four tank. And i know its only gonna be so long till i want to go big again. Its really tempting to bring back the 125 reef. But not enough yet. But knowing the pimafix isn't gonna mess up the reef capabilities. That makes me one step closer to selling my fresh fish and making the tank a reef.

Thanks again
