Getting the Apex Controller to work on Verizon FIOS

So I'm getting an Apex contoller tomorrow, have been doing tons of research on this thing and have to say it's pretty overwhelming. I've heard of people running into problems getting the Apex to work on FIOS due to issues with ports and stuff. I'd like to hear your input on this. Anyone experiencing issues like that? Thanks in advance.

no problems at all. just forward the proper IPs to the port you want

Are you trying to do wired or wireless. I have fios and just ordered an apex jr and a netgear wnce 2001 in order to use it wirelessly. I the netgear came in today and i just set it up quick, and the tracking says my apex will be here tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes im hoping i dont run into any problems.
