Thanks picking up the silicone this weekend for the sump build for the 20 long I got from petco, still looking at a lot of different configurations for the acrylic panels I cut to fit.
No offence rick, but after reading the diamond blade issue I would opt for getting someone to drill the hole for the bulkhead. Most glass bottoms on tanks are tempered which makes drilling impossible, and if its not there is a specific way to drill using it so that you don't shatter the tank while drilling. Its not like a regular drill.
I got ya i drilled a 20 and a 55 last year for my buddy and we drill them in the top right or left corner for the overflow. Tempered glass is ezy to spot if you know what to look for it was widely used as the bottom pane in some of the older tanks not so much theses days now that thick pain glass has become more affordable. Theres a good site that deals with tank drilling called glass holes that has the pos and come to tank drilling.
