So I'm planning on using carbon on a Phosban 150 reactor. I currently use NPX Biopellete in another reactor. My question is, how much carbon to use and when to change it? My system is 120 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. Thanks in advance.

There was a study a while ago that suggested carbon exhausts quickly......like a day or two. I believe this since I can only see the physical effects of carbon for a few days (super clear water) I can't find the link right now. In a 120 I would fill the reactor half way and dump it out after a few days. You can do this as part of a regular maintenance schedule, just to polish water, or to remove and introduced toxin

Thanks, I personally have never used carbon in a reactor. I have used passive carbon in a mesh bag.
