Hey guys,

I have a trulumen led strip. It's bright but like every other led. Currently running 8 bulb T5 on my display. Anyway just to test I placed the led strip on top of my tank. And most of my livestock immediately went to their resting spots and only two or three come out into the open to swim. But, the brave fish that do come out are bugging out. Swimming in weird patterns. Like they tripping on something good lol. Any input? I ask bc I'm contemplating whether or not to go with LEDs on my next tank

Before i got my sol blue I had t5 I had 3 true Lumen strips on my tank 2 blue 1 white . Used them like assent lighting to get the shimmer from the LEDs and ran them for the early and let setting on my timer . If you want to just run the true lumens I would get a few more.

Yea they may need to get use to it, and I agree to get that shimmer is why I got it. But, I decided to just go with a 36" reef brite. That makes all the colors pop.

But a plus out of all this. I've noticed that my frag tank seems to like the LEDs more. It's still an experiment but I've noticed that the zoos polys and acans open up bigger with the LEDs over my t5s
